Lead times are a worry for some - Feb 16 2010
With the economy coming slowly out of recession, we are seeing increased activity and orders in the longer term 36 month contract hire market. Slightly worrying is that manufacturers have not reacted to this and in many cases, supply is a bit of an issue. Many orders are turning out to be factory order, which can result in a delivery timescale of anywhere from 8-12 weeks. If you have cars coming up for renewal on an existing lease or you are planning the provsion of an addition car, please ensure you make allowances for extended delivery timescales. We can of course offer a short term lease as an interim solution but most people want their nice new shiny car the minute they order it - Beware.
